The Step-By-Step Program For Setting  Goals For Your Creative Business

As an artist and an entrepreneur, you’re busy. You are in your studio every day making art. You are on the streets every day finding customers for your art. You’re at your kitchen table every day determining what it costs to make your art and how much you need to sell to pay your rent. And you feel like you are moving forward. But are you moving forward in the right direction? Are you making progress to get where you want to be?
Everyone who owns a business needs goals to help them move forward, to get motivated, and to maintain the success of their business. Envisioning those goals is easy. Setting the right goals for you and your business is harder. Achieving those goals is even more difficult.

The Creative’s Road Map is a results-oriented course in which you’ll identify the goals that make sense for you and your creative business. You’ll receive an easy-to-follow framework for defining concrete objectives, developing strategies to achieve them, and detailing the specific steps that you’ll need to take to reach the goals you set. Upon completing the course, you’ll have created a comprehensive plan for your immediate and long-term futures, with genuine confidence in your ability to get the right things done to take your creative business where you want it to be.

Your Instructor

James Szuch

James Szuch is passionate about empowering creatives to transform their creativity into successful, profitable businesses. Through classes, workshops, and coaching, he is dedicated to ensuring that creatives have the knowledge and skills to shape their businesses to meet their financial, personal, and creative goals.

James has extensive experience building and advising businesses in a variety of industries including including banking, financial services, law, retail, manufacturing, transportation and healthcare. He has worked closely with the the Nashville Fashion Alliance’s on a number of programs including their flagship business accelerator. This program worked with a dozen new and existing businesses to identify their unique revenue potential as well as the resources their businesses require to become a success. James also works with the Arts and Business Council of Greater Nashville on the Periscope Program — a six-week intensive training opportunity that empowers working artists to see their vision through an entrepreneurial lens. James mentored artists participating in that program and has worked with a number creative professionals to help build successful businesses.

James currently teaches business and entrepreneurship at the O’More School of Design at Belmont University. He has been a member of the faculty of the Keller Graduate School of Management, Northern Kentucky University, the University of Cincinnati, and the Graduate School of Computer Science at DePaul University. He holds a degree in Computer Science from Allegheny College, a JD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University.
